Animation

Before I ever picked up a camera, I was drawing and animating. My first paid media gig was as a character and layout designer for my Japanese professor's animated vocabulary lessons. Nowadays I mostly animate for fun, but am open to contracts.

About

I’m a New Yorker who moved to Boston for an MFA from Emerson College's film program. When I’m not profiling a local organization or animating for a friend, you can find me dancing, singing, or cycling up far too many hills.Media-making has always been what I do best. My first degree from Yale University was in fine art, but after graduating I detoured through Southeastern China teaching writing and American History to college students. It was during those two years, far from what I called home, that I first seriously considered community and how to build one both as an educator and as an outsider. My main duty was to support my students' academic pursuits, but just as important was encouraging them to lead their lives with creativity, gusto, and care for one another.Since then I’ve built a career in filmmaking, chiefly of the documentary kind, while trying to practice what I preached. I am a community-builder and crafting visually compelling stories is my modus operandi.
